Associate Director, Career Student Communities
Career Communities & Campus Partnerships
In my role as Associate Director of Career Student Communities, I oversee the career affinity groups LGBTQ, Military Veterans, and Women. I manage campus partner advisory boards, connect students with exploration and networking opportunities through alumni mentorship and engagement, and provide tailored programming and advising services. I also oversee Program Directors focused on the affinity groups: Black and Latinx, Doctoral Students, International Students, Student-Athletes, Students with Disabilities, Student Employees, and Student Organizations.
I focused on the Business, Financial Services, and Logistics career interest community in my previous role. I delivered career advising to students, conducted industry-related career development programming, and cultivated campus partnerships with faculty and staff.
I have a master’s degree in Counselor Education from The College of New Jersey and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College. Before working in career services, I achieved ten years of success in my career at Dow Jones & Company.
A piece of advice that I have for students is to explore what Rutgers has to offer. There is so much to see, do, study, and more. Having new experiences and studying new things makes you a more well-rounded, interesting, and educated individual. The type of person people, including employers, like to meet!
