As a result of COVID-19 and the virtual nature of our fall 2020 semester, Career Exploration & Success will not be offering an active new cohort (application class) for each of its popular “Road to Industry Programs,” (RTIPS) including: Road to Communication & Media, Road to Government, Policy & Service, and Road to Food, Animals & the Environment. We will offer continued support and advising for the students who have previously been accepted to, and participated in our programs prior to fall of 2020.
While program resources and active management of new cohorts will not be offered due to logistical, staffing and budgetary reasons for 2020 – 2021, we will offer continued support and advising for the students who have previously been accepted to, and participated in our programs prior to fall of 2020.
Career Exploration and Success continue to offer multiple options for you to access opportunities for mentoring, career exposure, experiential education, and targeted and career-related skill development.

STUDENT TESTIMONIALS
“The RTFAE program is invaluable to me as a junior who is really starting to dive into job exploration, writing resumes and going to interviews. My mentor is a highly successful individual who works in food product development and marketing, which is the field in which I would like to work. I would not have had access to her insight, experience, and network if it were not for a program like this one. I am excited to continue building a network with the other students I meet in RTFAE and using the resources we are given with this program.”
Caleigh Holland
SEBS, Junior, Agriculture & Food Systems
“RTGPS gave me such a unique first-year experience that has transcended Rutgers into a lifelong relationship. My mentor was extremely helpful in helping me develop plans to get involved at Rutgers, find the passions and hobbies that allow me to be creative, and provide guidance for numerous opportunities, including the current organizations in which I serve on the executive board. His mentorship and meaningful advice have continued into my second year where he is currently helping me apply for summer internships and jobs.”

“Being a part of the very first cohort of RTCM was one of the highlights of my undergraduate experience. It was great to be paired with a mentor in my field of interest, who I was able to speak with one-on-one to get career advice and tips on how to make the most of my time at Rutgers. Overall, RTCM helped me become more confident with my industry skills and general networking abilities”
